Our theme for the week was 'sport'. We learnt about the Olympics and where they will be held this coming summer (Rio). The children then designed their own Olympic medals. We have made them in clay and I'll post photos of the finished results this week when we have painted them. The children spent time in our outside classroom practising balancing and gymnastic skills on the climbing frame. They also played tennis and had a go at setting up various sports courses - see William dribbling a large ball around some cones that he had set up.
Jupiter class were very excited to find that our butterflies had hatched! We watched them all day and then released them this afternoon.
Year 3 and Year 4 enjoying their World War Two workshop. We have been learning
how to write morse code.
This morning has been very exciting!!
We had the opportunity to speak to a school in Spain. The children were slightly younger than us, they taught us about what it is like in Spain and how to count in Spanish. We taught them about life in Wingrave and what we learn at school.
