On Monday EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 had a visit from Oxford Science. We were investigating how high a rocket would launch depending on how much water was inside the rocket.
Our theme for the week was 'sport'. We learnt about the Olympics and where they will be held this coming summer (Rio). The children then designed their own Olympic medals. We have made them in clay and I'll post photos of the finished results this week when we have painted them. The children spent time in our outside classroom practising balancing and gymnastic skills on the climbing frame. They also played tennis and had a go at setting up various sports courses - see William dribbling a large ball around some cones that he had set up.
Today we have had fun being artists creating under the sea and rainforest collage pictures.
We enjoyed learning about the different rainforest animals. We enjoyed holding the different animals and were very brave, some of us even held a tarantula!
